When signing up for your creator dashboard or providing payment information, you may encounter an error stating that your email is already associated with another account.
If you're an individual creator (not an agency signing up on behalf of a creator), then it's likely that your account has already been created for you by your partnering brand or agency and you just need to reach out to your campaign manager or to the CreatorIQ support team.
However, if you're an agency signing up on behalf of creators you manage, then you'll find that you'll run into issues if you try to use the same email address for everyone.
This is because our system requires a unique email address for every creator profile. So, if your agency uses the same email for multiple creators, you'll instead need to use one of the two solutions below to proceed.

Use a Unique Email for Each Creator (Recommended)
For the best experience, we highly recommend creating and using a unique email address for every creator. This prevents login conflicts and ensures smooth access.
Additionally, using unique email addresses makes it easier to track which account belongs to which creator. So, if your agency uses a generic email (e.g., creators@agency.com), consider setting up unique emails with creator names (e.g. creatorname@agency.com).
Use Email Aliases (+ Subaddresses)
If creating unique email addresses isn’t possible, you can use email aliases (also known as subaddresses). Many email providers allow you to modify an existing email address while still receiving all messages to the same inbox.
How It Works
You can add a plus sign (+) followed by a unique identifier before the @ in your email address. This creates a unique email for login purposes while still routing all emails to your main inbox.
For example, if your agency email is alicejones@agency.com, you could use:
- alicejones+creator1@agency.com
- alicejones+creator2@agency.com
- alicejones+creator3@agency.com
These will all be able to function as separate logins for the creator dashboard, while still delivering any emails to alicejones@agency.com.
Email Providers That Support Aliases
Most modern email services support this feature, including:
- Gmail/Google Workspace
- Microsoft 365/Outlook/Hotmail
- Yahoo Mail (Note that you'll need to use a dash - instead of a plus +)
- iCloud Mail
- ProtonMail
- FastMail
Note: Some corporate or custom email domains may not support aliases. Before using this workaround to sign up on behalf of a creator, test it by sending an email to yourself with an alias (e.g. you+test@yourdomain.com). If you successfully receive the email, then you can be confident that aliasing is supported. If the test email does not arrive, check with your internal IT team or email administrator to see if aliases are allowed or if an alternative solution is available.
One of these two solutions must be used to proceed with sign-up if you're signing up on behalf of multiple creators. If you continue to experience issues, please double-check that the email you're using is unique or correctly formatted using an alias.
