If you are a member of the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) program, enabling Channel Insights Sharing will allow you to share your channel statistics, audience breakdown, and YouTube Shopping affiliate program performance to help third-party advertisers, brands, and platforms determine if your channel is a good fit for their audience. This can lead to increased earning opportunities from ads, brand deals, and shopping affiliate programs.
Note: Enabling Channel Insights Sharing is not the same as connecting your YouTube account. When you connect your YouTube account to your Creator Dashboard, you give a specific brand or agency access to your performance data. Channel Insights Sharing, on the other hand, lets a wider group of approved YouTube partners see your channel information so they can consider you for potential opportunities.
By default, Channel Insights Sharing is disabled. You have full control to turn this setting on or off at any time.
This setting is available to YPP creators globally, with the exception of Official Artist Channels.
- Sign in to YouTube Studio on Desktop.
- On the bottom left, click Settings
.
- On the left, click Channel and then Advanced settings.
- Under Channel insights sharing, check the box for Allow advertisers, brands, and third-party platforms to view channel insights for earning opportunities.
- To turn off this setting later, uncheck the box.
- Click Save.
